Protesters gather outside the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office after three men, Chi Leung Wai 38, Chung Biu Yuen 63, and Matthew Trickett 37, are charged with spying for the Hong Kong foreign intelligence service. The protesters, mainly from Hong Kong, are concerned about the HKETO's potential involvement in transnational repression. The protesters want Hong Kong to be independent from China, and despite some of the protesters fleeing to the UK from Hong Kong for fears of their safety, they now feel less than safe in the United Kingdom.
